Josh was in Mexico City for business, so we decided to make a trip out of it and I joined him for the weekend. We stayed one night in Mexico City and from there we drove to Acapulco with his coworker Aaron and his wife.
In Mexico City
The drive to Acapulco was definitely an experience. It took us over an hour and a half to get out of the City and another four to get to Acapulco. While the drive was scenic, it was hard to tell with my eyes closed and my hands clenched while fearing for my life. Once in Acapulco it was a different story . We ate, drank and relaxed for the next two days and took in all the sunshine our pale bodies could handle. We stayed at the Camino Real, which had great views of the bay and the hills. We spent all day Saturday lounging by the pool, riding jet skis in the ocean and munching on my
favorite Mexican food... Chips & Guac! That night we got dressed up and headed down the hill in to the city. We had dinner at Kookaburra and then drinks at one of the finner drinking establishments... I'm sure you have heard of it... Hooters. Unfortunately on Sunday Josh wasn't feeling very well, so while he spent the day resting, the rest of us hit the beach and did some shopping in the city. luckily Josh was feeling well enough to go out to dinner. so the four of us went to Baikal. A beautiful restaurant on the hill with amazing views of the skyline.
